Learn To Dive

A new world awaits

Overview
The open water diver certification is your first step in experiencing the underwater world. The course consists of 3 parts: knowledge development, pool work, and open water dives. We strive to provide the highest level of training while keeping our pricing fair and structure flexible. We provide all required equipment throughout your certification process as well as any books and/or materials you may need. Any age 10+ can take the course (anyone under 18 needed parent/guardian signature permission) Upon completion divers will receive a globally recognized and accepted certification that does not expire.

Knowledge development
This portion of the course is typically eLearning. We can offer either SDI or PADI certification/eLearning. Both agencies are top agencies in the dive world and are very similar. SDI is a more affordable option while PADI is a bit more of a ‘well-known’ name. We encourage our divers to go the SDI route as we find their website and eLearning tends to be a bit more user friendly but are perfectly happy teaching the PADI version as well! At the end of the day, it is your class and your choice. If you have further questions about which agency is the right one for you feel free to reach out.
*If you are someone who does not like eLearning from a computer we can arrange for classic classroom style instruction. Please reach out for pricing/setup options.

Pool/confined water
During the pool sessions you will learn how to build and wear scuba gear, as well as how to dive it! We start slow in nice shallow water and progress through a series of skills. Each skill is demonstrated and then practiced until you feel as if it has been mastered and you are comfortable. We provide all equipment and tanks needed for the pool sessions.

Open Water Dives
This is where you will put all your new pool skills into action. The open water dive portion of the course is where you will truly learn to be a diver. You will complete a total of 4 open water dives where you will continue to develop and perfect your diving. We provide all equipment and tanks needed for the open water sessions.
By the end of the course you will be a knowledgeable, safe, and confident diver.

Class setup
We can be very flexible with the setup of your course. Required time is as follows:
eLearning – at your own pace, but needs to be completed before your first session
Session 1 – eLearning review, equipment familiarization, pool session. Approximately 4 hours
Session 2 – Pool session and 2 open water dives. Approximately 6 hours
Session 3 – Pool session and 2 open water dives. Approximately 6 hours
Dates can be consecutive or spread out over a few weeks depending on your specific need.
*Additional sessions can be scheduled if a student needs them for an extra cost.

Class Cost Per Diver
eLearning fee – SDI= $140 OR PADI = $230
*Your eLearning fee is paid when you sign up for the class and is non-refundable for
any reason once the eLearning code is issued.
Tuition – $575, this fee includes the three training sessions listed above, all required rental equipment with air fills for both pool and open water sessions, and your certification fee. The tuition fee is due no later than the first day of class.
Entry fees – Entry fees will be paid directly to the location we dive at each day. There are multiple options for dive sites and we will discuss the best choices for you and your course prior to starting. Entry fee costs vary between $5 per day to $40 per day depending on location.

Specialty Classes

Dive safer, develop more, and find what makes you happiest

Specialty and con-ed classes are some of the most fun classes you can take as a diver.  There are tons of options that allow you to grow into diver you want to be. In addition to learning specialized skills every class you take will further your confidence and ability in the water. Just as with all our other courses, we do things according to what you want and need. We schedule according to what works for the individual student and no large class sizes.

Listing full details of every course would be a bit overwhelming for this page, so instead we'll give you the basic details of what we offer. If you have questions, want more information, or would like to schedule something just call or email.

PRICING

For all of our classes we charge by the day, that rate is $225. For specialty classes we offer a rate reduction of $175 per diver if there are more than one of you taking the class.

There is usually an eLearning course to go along with each specialty. There are some courses where we like to teach the 'good old fashioned' way and do classroom style only.  Any eLearning fees are due upon sign up of the course. Nearly all our classes can be offered either PADI or SDI. We can discuss with you which option may be best when you choose to sign up.

We rent any and all equipment for classes. Check out our rental page for details. If you are in need of new equipment before or during the course we can help you with that as well.

Most of our specialty courses can be taught in our local Florida Springs, however a few require some travel. If that is the case it will be noted on the overview and we can discuss options if you are interested.
